Going way back to college days, I remember you as a kind and gentle man, who was always warm and welcoming to a daughter and her friends. I never heard a harsh or cruel word from you, and you always approached life with wit and humor. As older adults, my husband David and I cherished you as a friend to be honored for wisdom and strength of character. My Dear friend Sal, 
One of God's greatest gifts to us was to have met you and Lucy and the many good times we all shared since we first met in Jan. 2001. The February birthday parties, the St. Patrick day parties and the special martini or two you had in our early days together that became the one martini before six. The list goes on and on. It has been a great journey and I have been honored to be able to call you my friend.
We hope you and Lucy are Dancing in each others arms for eternity

Sal was a wonderful man.  I loved listening to him tell his jokes and stories.  He was a gentleman and will truly be missed.  I am so happy that we got to see him before he left us.  Jeri Batchelor (Naples, Fl.)

Sal will be remembered as a kind gentleman who cherished his family and his faith. At St.Leo's Catholic Church he and Lucille always liked to sit on the right of the fourth row back. He loved to spend time with his friends often quietly telling jokes with a witty punch-line at the end. Rich and I always considered it an inspiration and a  blessing to have known Sal. I will cherish our phone calls that affectionately ended with "Chio". May he and Lucille be dancing in heaven.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to get to know Sal. Such a nice guy; honorable, considerate, thoughtful and kind...and strong in many ways. How he loved the Lord, his wife and family,music,and his bocci!! He really surprised me the day he dusted off his harmonica and though a bit rusty, began to play and sing with such delight. He will long be remembered with affection.
