I was a friend of George and Sharon when they lived in Maine and remained friends for years I even visited them in Naples. I just recently friended George on Facebook and woke to this memory this morning I had no idea that Sharon had gone to be with the Lord. She was always sweet to me and hearing this just made me think of some wonderful memories. May the Lord bless George and Sara today.

My thoughts are with the family .Little by little ,day by day I hope that time will ease the sorrow you are all feeling.Sharon was the sweetest and I am glad I had the chance to meet her many years ago when I was young and still laugh with her in texts as an adult .She was "a love "for sure.💝

George and Sharon have been special friends since we both lived at Apple View Apartments in Eddington, Maine during 1980.  Just yesterday! Sharon and I became fast friends. We spent a lot of time sunbathing, at the beach, and poolside in Dedham and FL.  Even as an infant, Sara would hang out with us by the pool, as we were not to be deterred from getting our tans! 😀 We worked together at Eastern Maine Medical Center.  Sharon’s love for her Lord, family, and friends was amazing!   I have always appreciated Sharon’s infectious laugh, “no nonsense“ personality, ability to listen, being an encourager, and her faithful friendship for nearly 40 years. We spent a lot of time on the phone after she and George moved to Florida. They saw me through the death of my own husband (trips to FL, one including a trip to Disney!), and cancer.  What a blessing it is to have great friends!   As sad as I am about losing such a dear friend, I take comfort in knowing that we will spend eternity together! I pray that Sharon‘s life will continue to live on as a testimony for the Lord. That is what she would want! My heart goes out to you, George, Sara,  Michael, and Theo. May you find peace during this grief walk as you adapt to this monumental loss, through the only One who can provide us with true comfort, our Savior and King Jesus Christ! I love you!!❤️ 

Whenever I think of Sharon, I instantly smile.  She was ALWAYS full of joy, happiness and laughter!  I cannot remember ever seeing her without that contagious smile on her face!  It was difficult to have a bad day at work with Sharon around.  It is hard to put into words how she did what she did - but she made everyone around her feel her warmth and love!  I am thankful that I was fortunate enough to have crossed paths with Sharon in this lifetime.  I will continue to smile every time I think of her....I know she would not want any of us to feel sad, as difficult as that is.  My thoughts and prayers for comfort are with you, George, Sara and family. xo

I can't share one specific memory.  Sharon and I ran into each other in grocery stores.  Now when Sharon lived in Maine you would think yeah I can see that happening....now try this Bangor, Brewer, Ellsworth and Portland.  Now my favorite was Sarasota Florida.  I went down to take care of someone.  What do I do, run into Sharon in Publix.  She had come up to help someone and was headed back home the next day!  I had just flown in. ....what was the chances of running into one another.  Other than that Sharon was the happiest ray of sunshine 🌞 I have ever meant AND I had the honor of knowing her.  Sara you are one very important and beautiful person and your mother loved you more than anything in the world.   Love Aunt Karla

I worked with Sharon for several years and was blessed to know her.  She was a happy person who loved life and wasn’t afraid to share her faith.  She was my mom’s nurse for quite awhile and my mom loved her.  Regardless of my mom’s temperament on any given day, Sharon could always get a smile out of her and make her laugh.  She was that way with all of her patients.  It is comforting to know that they have been reunited in heaven.  

Sharon will be truly missed by all.  I consider it a true blessing to have known her.  

My heart breaks for George, Sara, Mike, and Theo. Sharon was an amazing woman. I mostly knew her through Sara and from the kind of person Sara is. Sharon reached so many hearts not just through her own touch but through her influence of others. I remember the first time I met her I couldn't believe how contagious her smile was, how close she was to Sara, and how welcoming she was to me. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers and we are so thankful we got to know this amazing woman!

Sharon's life can only be described as "BOLD". My friend of over 25 years was one of the most boldest woman I know. She was bold in her Faith. She shared her love of God, the Creator, her love of Jesus Christ, the son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead, so we may be saved, her love of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us while on earth. She was bold as wife to George, the love of her life, as they sailed and built houses, welcomed people into their home, held Bible studies and raised their daughter. She was bold as a Mom, raising Sara, to be an independent, loving and Godly woman. She was bold as a mother-in-law, welcoming Mike into their family and nurturing Sara and Mike's marriage. She was bold as a MEME, so excited and proud of Theo. She was bold as a friend, always willing to listen and share in the joys, challenges and trials of her friends life. I have 25 years of wonderful memories of laughter, sharing our faith, our families and our friendship. She will never be replaced or forgotten.

Sharon would laugh and laugh at reading my earlier post.  I got the right psalm and the right verse, just the wrong verse number.  I think she would have gotten a kick out of my mistake.  The more I think about her, the more I remember her smiles and laughs.  What a blessing she was to all who knew her.  Psalm 116:15.  "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants."

Always smiling, and loving life. She laughed freely and was generous and family oriented.sharon loved Jesus and  would read many books and share her thoughts on  the importance of her relationship with God. I’m glad I know we will all be together in eternity!

My sister Meagan became friends with Sara sometime in late elementary school I believe. I remember the first time we went to her house in Dedham. We met their giant fur baby who drooled everywhere!!! Sharon and George would just hand over the drool rag so you could wipe up the slobber, so funny!  Sharon always had a smile on her face and was always so hospitable. Many great memories of growing up and even sailing with you all one summer! George and Sara, may you find rest and peace in our dear Savior whom she loved so dearly, and may the assurance that you will be with her again give you great joy. 

I am sitting here thinking about my memories of Sharon once again and I have to write about our love of Pepinos restaurant. When Sharon and George rolled into town in their convertible mini coupe, we got together at Pepinos to catch up before our high school reunion. When Sara and Sharon came to town to celebrate Sara’s bridal shower, the 3 of us got together and had such a wonderful lunch at of course, Pepinos. Before they moved to Florida, when our birthdays rolled around each year it was always a given that we would get together and have lunch at our favorite spot. When they moved to Florida I mailed her some hot sauce to help keep her in stock. Every birthday we exchanged gifts and she would send me a beautiful piece of jewelry that I always cherished and now even more. Love that girl!!

Sharon was my next door neighbor. I could not have asked for nicer neighbors.  Sharon and I would share our daily stories as we met by our garages or when we visited each other. She was so giving to her patients and cared so much for them,  especially for those who did not have friends or family visit them. She spent extra time with them so they didn't feel that no one cared. She was so giving and kind. We will all miss her and so will all the patients that she gave so much special care.

It’s been difficult to put into words all my love for Sharon. We met in 3rd grade when her family moved to Brewer. We had the same shoes and from that day on we shared a wonderful friendship. She had always been there for me. We had fun sharing our kids as they grew. We would get together at her house and drink coffee by the pool and just enjoy the day. I was saddened when they moved to Florida but we had a great long distance friendship. When my mom passed it was her beautiful hydrangea plant that arrived to comfort me just after we got home from the funeral. Just so special to have had such an amazing friend. I will miss her terribly until we meet again. My love to George, Sara, Mike and dear Theo. 

Sharon was prankster. In seventh grade she talked me into putting stockings over our heads and going down the street to scare Barbara (Wood) Kenny's house while she was babysitting.  It worked and we got into Big trouble for it.  She always had that angelic look so you wouldn't think that she could do anything wrong. We also tried out smoking for the first time together behind Washington St. school.  Too many memories to count. She will be missed. Now you are an angel Sharon. George and Sara my heart goes out to you and your family. May you find comfort in your memories, I know I will.

Sharon and I had not seen each other since our days at Brewer High School.  We re-connected on Facebook and kept in touch the past few years.  Four years ago Frank, my husband and I, were vacationing in Punta Gorda and I asked Sharon if we could all meet up for lunch.  We drove down to Naples and had a wonderful lunch with Sharon and George.  It was if we had just left high school!  Sharon was her normal wonderful, open, cheerful self.   We had a great time remembering and catching up.  Sharon loved talking about her daughter and all the adventures the three of them had.  Sharon will be missed by everyone she touched which were many indeed.  Rest in peace my friend.   

From junior high on, she would saunter over with that huge smile of hers and the twinkle in her eyes and say "How the heck are you".  Her laugh was infectious.  Her kindness,  sense of humor, and love for life and her family were to be envied. She made your day better. I believe that there are Angels here on earth and she most certainly was one of them. Sharon, you are so missed. Class reunions won't be the same without you. Thank you for being a friend. You will always have a piece of so many hearts. 

Sara and I became great friends fast in high school. When I first met her parents, I was struck by how close they were to Sara and how welcoming they were to me. Sharon was always laughing and smiling and made me feel right at home. She was so bubbly and fun, full of light and love, and so easy to talk to, just like Sara. And just like Sara, Sharon quickly became my friend. She also became like second mother to me. Some memories I have: I remember hanging out at Sara’s CD release party, taking a road trip to PBA together to visit Sara, celebrating Sara & Mike’s engagement and wedding together, being treated to dinner when I was visiting from Colombia, and celebrating Theo’s approaching arrival at Sara’s baby shower. Moments such as these and more, and all the love that has been poured out to me, I will hold in my heart forever. Thank you Sara. Thank you George. And thank you Sharon. I love you and miss you. 

Sharon had a way of getting right to the point.  One day, years ago, we were talking about this and that, life in general I  suppose.  We were young, she was younger.  We didn't know a lot about life yet, but she knew the Lord, and she said this to me, "Kathy, there are two kinds of people in this world, saved sinners and unsaved sinners."  Her simple statement has stayed in my head and heart for years and caused me to be both grateful and compassionate.  Sharon was my sister in law, a precious wife to my brother, and she brought love and laughter to all who knew her.      Psalm 116:9, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants."

Every July, for many years, my husband participated in a conference held on Marco Island and I always accompanied him. Sharon and I had become FB friends, through the Brewer High School group. I knew she didn’t live far from Marco. In advance of the 2014 conference,  I reached out to her to see if she’d be interested in meeting me for lunch while we were in town, and she enthusiastically accepted the invitation! Neither of us recalled knowing each other during high school, although we lived near each other, and had mutual acquaintances; but that didn’t keep us from thoroughly enjoying the afternoon learning about each other, sharing stories, and quite fittingly, splitting a “Lobstah Roll” basket  for lunch! We shared our journeys caring for loved ones with dementia, delight in our families, and that Sara & Mike were married within view of where we were seated. From that day on, she would thoughtfully send seahorse pictures  my way, knowing from our chatter that they were special to my parents. Sharon was delightful in every way...and my heart is with her family now.

 ❤️     We first met when George , Sharon and little Sara came into Father's House restaurant that Jim and his mom owned, on an evening when we were having special music.  That night, Jim invited them to our church , Calvary Chapel in Bangor.   Our friendship  grew as we all matured in the Lord.  We enjoyed having some Bible studies in their home in Dedham.  Sharon was particularly proud of George and Sara's musical talent.  Her face  would shine as they sang together!  I loved praying together with Sharon.  Her deep love forJesus was so evident when she would address Him as Dear DADDY, and pour out her heart to Him.   She and I often prayed for our children and their future spouses!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             ❤️     One year at our church women's retreat, Sharon, Nancy, Kathy and I roomed together.  We had just turned the lights out and it was very dark.  We all talked for a while then said goodnight.   That's when I decided to put on a little plastic yellow duck nose....I sat up and pointed a flashlight at my face, and said, Hey girls, look at his!"  Well, Sharon started laughing so hard that she couldn't breathe, then she jumped up and said, "I'm going to wet my pants!" And she ran o the restroom!  (She mentioned this to me  many times through the years.).                                                                                                                  ❤️     So, another special connection we have is our home in Dedham that we purchased from George and Sharon.   I have loved this home, as I'm sure Sharon did, because her beloved husband built it for her!                                       ❤️     I pray for George especially that God will turn his mourning into joy.

Those that knew Sharon know how magical she was. She will always have a very special place in my heart. She was my fabulous nursing partner for a few years, a great friend, and a giver of light. She could fill a room with love with just her beautiful smile. I'm forever grateful for her. Love you forever Sharon! XO

After taking care of my husband for 6 weeks in Eastern  Maine Medical center we became good friends! She was so good to our children Nick was 5 and Sara was 2 1/2! We got together and took a boat ride down Penobscot river Sharon and George, Jane and Bob Bishop, Greg and I! Even though we didn’t see each other a lot she will always hold a big spot in our heart! I remember when she told me she was going to have her precious Sara, I know she will be a special angel for all her loved ones! RIP dear friend ❤️💋😭

I met Sharon at Dental Excellence- she was one of my favorite patients ever and always made me laugh every time she came in....we always had a great time - her laugh was infectious!! Such a warm caring beautiful person and she will be so missed!!!

Sharon was a beautiful lady inside and out. She loved life to the fullest. Always had that beautiful smile. So glad I got to see you at the reunion.

I have many wonderful memories of Sharon. I met her at Calvary Chapel Bangor. I was 22 years old and was a brand new believer. She encouraged me and loved me well. When I got married a year later she still encouraged me and this time as a young wife. The first Christmas my husband and I spent together Sharon and George brought over a little table top Christmas tree (our apartment was so tiny) I loved that tree. It meant so much to us. She said although it was small God had big things for us. A few weeks later we found out we were pregnant.   We laughed at that.
Her smile was warm and she was simply and overwhelming  lovely. 

I am so sorry to hear of her passing but I rejoice that I will see her in heaven.

May the Lord Himself be your peace during this time.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Sharon in high school and we just clicked and became great friends.  It was like we had known each other forever.  She was thoughtful and kind to everyone and so much fun.   We hadn't seen or talked in many years until we reconnected on Facebook.  I loved her posts because you knew that her family meant everything to her. My thoughts and prayers to George, Sara, Michael and her sweet grandson Theo....

I got to know Sharon many years ago when we were on a prayer vine together. We would always talk for a few minutes to talk and pray together over whatever the pray request was. I believe that was our start to a very special friendship. Sharon became the friend that was always there no matter what and the friend you could always count on. When I lost my dad 12 years ago, she and George had us come for a 2-week visit. We will never forget the love and care they gave to us at that time, going to the beach and sitting by the pool in the evening drinking coffee. Even though life got in the way these last few years and we were not in regular contact, I will always consider Sharon as one of my very best friends and consider a real privilege to have had her as my friend. I remember that I had the privilege of meeting this nice woman in Naples, year 2005, who talked to me about the charity she was doing to Colombian children. I have always been so thankful with people who love my country and help us to get through difficult times. God bless Sharon, such a nice lady, such a great and lovely heart. I've known Sharon for many years and it was always a blessing to see her smiling face! I always looked forward to see her in the Salon, she always made my laugh tremendously! She will definitely be missed!

Sharon and George lived across the street from us in Hampden Maine several years ago and I remember when she was pregnant with you Sara, she was so beautiful. We spent alot of really good times with them. Sharon was always so much fun and so full of Life. Our thoughts and prayers are with George and you Sara Michael and Theo as she will be missed by many. We were Blessed to have her in our lives and will miss her.❤❤❤❤❤ 
 

It is hard for me to choose just one memory of Sharon when so much of my childhood was spent in her home. Sharon was family to me. Time spent watching Guiding Light after school, sleepovers with my favorite chicken and the best sleepover snacks, Disney movies and Anne of Green Gables, mom and daughter double dates- none of these moments will be forgotten. Sara, Mal and I never went through the phase teenagers go through when they think their parents are dorky. We always wanted to spend time with Sharon and my mom. Even after Sharon and her family moved to Florida, Sharon opened up her home to me on vacations. Sharon was always a mom away from mom. Sharon, George and Sara took me on my first trip to Disney. Every detail was planned to make sure that I had the best experience. I think Sharon and George had as much fun as Sara and I did. I will miss Sharon’s warmth, her big hug after not seeing one another and most of all, her sense of humor. Sharon’s laugh after she would make a funny remark still echoes in my ears. I take great comfort that Sharon and I are both children of the Lord and will be able to hug and smile together once again. Even though Sharon is no longer here on this earth I will always hold her close in my memories, my heart and in my best friend Sara. To George, Sara, Mike and Theo- I am so terribly sorry for your loss. My heart aches with you. I am praying for you and Nate and I are here if you need a shoulder to lean on. Love you all so much.

I will never forget meeting Sharon the week of your guys wedding. Our trip to Florida the year before, Andrew, Mike, John, and I had that ridiculous evening on those air mattresses sleeping on Sara's friends floor at PBA. Somewhere in there we were trying to remember Sara's parents first names. 

"Well, their last name is Crabtree sooo...her first name is probablly Babtree."

And eventually we landed on Babtree Von Crabtree. Fast-forward to your wedding, and Sharon walked right up to me and Andrew Patterson in the hotel lobby and introduced herself as Babtree Von Crabtree. We lost it. Sharon's laughed harder than any of us, and she was just so warm and caring the entire weekend. Her infectious laugh in that moment still brings a smile to my face today.

My heart hurts for you Sara, George and sweet little Theo.  Sharon and I went to Brewer High together. She always had that beautiful smile and twinkle in her eye! She will be sadly missed and remembered with much love. So very sorry for your loss.

Sharon knew that Sara and I were destined to be great friends! I was able to speak with her a few times when she was in Plattsburgh, before I even really knew Sara, but she could sense that we would end of being great friends. I remember her great smile and such proudness that she carried for Sara & Mike at the Chic-Fil-A opening! In the little time I had with her I remember her kind and sweet spirit! 

I believe you bounced into my life in the spring of 1998.  I soon discovered you were a Christian, but you were unlike the Christians I had known .
You were real, you were glowing, and so joyful.  We became friends quickly.  The Lord used you Sharon to draw me back to him.  Because of you my husband came to know, love, and serve Jesus.  Our lives have never been the same.

You stood with me through Breast Cancer, and so much more.

I love you Sharon..I look forward to eternity.  We have much left to talk about....

Sharon was my "fun buddy". She sure made me lsugh and lifted up my spirits.  One fun memory I have of Sharon - at my expense - was after she and her family moved from Maine to Naples, Florida in Jan. 2003. She had invited me to visit in March of that year. I was so excited about going to south Florida to spend time with my friend. To prepare for the trip, I would read online websites about the Naples area, things to do there, the beaches, etc.

During a breaktime at my job before the trip, I decided to check out a webcam of a Naples beach. But everytime I tried connecting to the beach webcam, my computer screen was black and I couldn't figure out why. Then it occurred to me ... I was working nights at the Bangor Daily News then and usually took my breaks around 10 p.m. No wonder the screen was black ... it was NIGHT TIME in Florida!

When I told Sharon about this she laughed ... and laughed ... and laughed! And she never let me forget this. She teased me for YEARS about it! She actually found a postcard that was all black on the front, with white eyeballs floating on it, that said "Nightlife in Florida" ... which she, of course, mailed to me.

I remember that first - of many trips - to visit Sharon in Naples. I had so much fun with her. I miss my friend so much. But I look forward to picking up where we left off in heaven one day. I love you, dear Sharon.

Sharon was a dear childhood friend in Brewer. School, sleepovers and after school fun. I was so happy to reconnect on Facebook. My deepest sympathy to George, Sara and your family. I am sure that Sharon's soul is in the arms of our Lord Jesus. 

Sharon...such a beautiful soul inside and out. It still doesn't seem real. So glad I got to see you at our last class reunion. It was as if all those years just melted away. You were a friend to everyone always. My condolences to George, Sara  and family. Patti

My deepest, heartfelt sympathy to Sharon's family. I have such fond memories about Sharon that I would like to share in a letter to her.
Dear Sharon,
It is with such sorrow that I am writing this to you. We worked many years together at EMMC. We started on evenings on the 5th floor where we cared for the neuro/ortho/rehab patients. Some nights we were so busy we hardly saw each other, but all would often get together after work (remember "Bubbles"?). As time passed we started on the day shift on Grant 6 East - orthopedics. Such wonderful memories. We were not just a work family, we were family. We celebrated holidays and special events together. The Christmas parties the doctors held and the ones after work.  Bridal showers, baby showers, weddings. You and I had babies around the same time. Your Sara and my Laura. Some of us went to those fad exercise classes together. You introduced me to Mary Kay with your sweet mom Hazel.  Weren't we gorgeous in our MK make-up? When my Laura passed you were there for me. Thank you so much for that. You cannot imagine how much that meant to me. You were loved in life, as you will always be.  Blessings to you and your loving family. I love you.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I remember Sharon's sense of humor,  she seemed to always be smiling or laughing.  Sending positive thoughts to her family and friends.

Sharon was the most fun person in the room. I’ve had the pleasure of being friends with Sara for years and so I got to know Sharon. She was always smiling and inviting and made me laugh.
