

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra (Rusty), father of daughters Sandra; Tracy; and deceased daughter Rory. Grandfather of Rory's twin sons Sampson Steele Nunley and Noah Christopher Nunley.
Attended schools in Indianapolis, Indiana. Received his Bachelor's degree from Columbia University in New York and Masters Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Following graduation from George Washington University he served in the United States Army overseas. He returned and became a Captain in the US Army Judge Advocate General office at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. His legal specialties were International Law, Securities Law and Corporate Law.
After serving in the Army he worked for the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) in Washington, D.C. later moved to Pittsburgh, PA to work for Westinghouse Electric. He was hired to be Assistant General Council of Bayer Corporation; where he was later named Ombudsman and Vice President of Bayer.
Spencer's interests were many including his family, sports, especially a huge Pittsburgh Steeler's fan, history, travel, gardening plus having a green thumb for growing roses.
There will be a funeral Mass at St. William Catholic Church, 601 Seagate Dr, Naples; at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Social distancing, sanitizing and masks will be observed. Immediately following Mass will be a Military Honors ceremony at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108.
