Sylvia Jenkins

Sylvia Jenkins, age 88, a lifetime resident of Collier County, left this world on July 11th, 2016, to live in holy peace with her eternal Father. Sylvia was born on Marco Island to the late Roy and Ruth Rimes. She was the oldest daughter of a family of 13 children. They grew up on Marco with no running water or electricity and the old-fashioned outhouse. They lived on Marco when it was truly a paradise.

Sylvia is predeceased by her husband, Raymond Jenkins. She is survived by her children Wayne (Sarah) Jenkins of Naples, Fl., Dale (Barbara) Jenkins of Lake City, Fl. and Donna (Chris Ladera) Herbst of Hilo, Hawaii. She is also survived by 4 grand-children and 3 great grand-children and many nieces and nephews.

Sylvia is also survived by her beloved brothers Ernest Rimes, Vance (Cledith) Rimes, Russell (PJ) Rimes, Andy (Joanne) Rimes. Sisters include Camilla Kvetko, Margaret Merritt, Carmen Cameron, Marilyn (Jack) Sims. Predeceased brothers are Ronald Rimes, Lavonne Rimes, Wendell Rimes and a baby sister Donna Gail Rimes.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 19th, 2016, at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. Viewing is 9AM-10AM with a service at 10 AM and burial immediately following the service.
