Vasili George Avramis

Vasili was born in Kryoneri, a remote mountain village in the Pyrgos area of the northwestern Peloponnese in Greece, to Georgios Avramopoulos (Father) and Panayiota Famelos (Mother) on November 18th, 1935. He attended school in Zourtsa, a town outside his village. He married Ana Alamond on December 9th, 2000, in Athens, Greece. Vasili’s brother, Father Athanasis, officiated the wedding. Vasili and his wife worked together in the family business in Ithaca, NY.

Vasili is preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers Paul and Athanasis, his son Alex, and his grandson Vincent Zimmer.

Vasilis’ spirit lives on through his beloved wife Ana, son George (Marcy), and daughter Pola, stepdaughter Jessica, and his many grandchildren: Vasili, Mia (Aaron), Max, Adam, Niko, Nina, Caliegh, Eva, Melina, and Jayden.

The viewing will be at 1 pm on Wednesday, September 3rd, with the funeral to follow at 2 pm, presided over by Father Demetrios Mott, Father Emmanual Clapsis, and his nephew Father Chris Avramopoulos at St. Katherine, located at 7100 Airport-Pulling Road, Naples, Florida.

Burial will follow at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, located at 525 111th Ave N, Naples, Florida.
