Virginia Goldoni Barnes

Our cherished sister Virginia Barnes, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Bonita Springs, FL on May 26th. Virginia was born in Ft. Belvoir, VA to Col. John and Rose Goldoni. Virginia spent most of her life traveling the world as a member of a military family.

Virginia married Jeff Barnes and they enjoyed 35 years of marriage before his death in 2013. Virginia is survived by her sisters, Linda (Paul) Beckman, Deborah Rose Goldoni and Mary Margaret Doscher, Niece and Nephews, Jessica Raine Goldoni, John Allen Goldoni, Jamie LePage Beckman and Michael Bradley Doscher. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Col. John and Rose Goldoni and Brother John Francis Goldoni.

Virginia, a very successful business person was an insurance underwriter for many years and then went into real estate. Family always came first with Virginia and Jeff, they enjoyed years of wonderful family memories, longtime friends and travel experiences together as best friends in life.

Virginia will be laid to rest with her late husband in a private service at Naples Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial’s in Virginia’s name to - Hope Hospice of Bonita Springs, Humane Society Naples or St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
