

Mrs. Adele Maier Sellars was born May 30, 1926 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Adolph J. Maier, Sr. and Marion Graham Maier. Adele was married to Bobby Joe Sellars, and is survived by her daughter, Lisa Adele Sellars and her son, Robert L. Sellars II. Mrs. Sellars grew up in New Orleans and graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. She was employed at the Times Picayune as a layout artist, and went on to Maison Blanche where she eventually became Art Director and was employed for more than 20 years. After Maison Blanche closed, Mrs. Sellars became a real estate agent with Gertrude Gardner where she eventually became the #1 agent. In 2003, Adele retired and moved to Atlanta where her daughter, Lisa, resides. While in Atlanta, she volunteered with the Atlanta Symphony and the Historical Society show house. She was an avid bridge player, where she achieved the designation of Bridge Life Master. She will be greatly missed by friends and family in New Orleans and Atlanta.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A Graveside service will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
