

Adine “Mimi” Aucoin Chaney, aged 92, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024. The former owner of Jack Chaney Paint Co., in her free time she enjoyed attending all the sporting and other events of all the grands. She was an extremely good athlete in her time and that was definitely passed down through the generations. For herself it was bowling, tennis, casino trips with her friends, and attending St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirteen years, Jack Chaney; parents, Wallace and Louise Aucoin; and grandson, Joseph Allen Weber.
“Mimi” is survived by son, Michael Sylve (Mary); daughters, Kim Weber and Pam Boudreaux (Scott); sisters, Mary Lou Huber and Lucille Russo; grandchildren, Tamara Pisciotta (Chris), Ian Sylve, Emily Truax (Todd), Katie Wallace (Jeremy “Bubba”), Jeanne Oltmann, Luke Sylve (Kaley), Nicholas Weber (Raven), Austin Weber, Zachary Weber, Shane Boudreaux (Brookelynn), and Patrick Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Pisciotta (Kalyn), Christian Pisciotta (Natashia), Madelene Pisciotta, Giovanni Pisciotta, Nevaeh Sylve, Brennan Sylve, Jasmine Johnson, Kaydance Wallace, William Wallace, Waylon Wallace, Wesley Wallace, Olivia Patterson, Justin Patterson, Jr., Navy Sylve, Jack Weber, and Henry Weber; great-great grandchildren, Sophia, Josie, and Roman Pisciotta; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude and give special thanks to the staff of Ochsner Health Jefferson Hwy Hospital and the staff and nurses of Compassus Hospice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of service. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
