

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Raiford Watson and Alice Alford Watson and her husband William L. Crull, III.
She is survived by four children, Celia “C.K.” Crull, William Crull, IV (Bettie), Tookie Volz (Mike), James Crull (Cindy) and five grandchildren, Colin Kennedy (Lauren), Brittain, Elizabeth, Bill and Henry Crull, two great-grandchildren, a brother John S. Watson, II of Flowood, MS and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Alice was a graduate of Central High School (Jackson, MS) and Mississippi State College for Women. At MSCW she was active in many campus activities. Following college, she worked in Greenville, MS before settling in New Orleans where she was a secretary at Godwin Advertising Agency and Humble Oil. After raising her children she returned to work at Oceanside Finance Companies for 25 years.
Alice was an original tent member at St. Philip Neri Catholic Parish and a resident of Metairie for 60 years. She was very active in social ventures. She achieved Life Master ranking in the American Contract Bridge League. She played online bridge for the past 20 years. She enjoyed dinner parties, square dancing, sports and theater. She was an avid Mississippi State fan as well as a fan of the New Orleans Saints.
Alice loved to travel and go to new places. She especially enjoyed Canada and New England. Her favorite was Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
She had great friends and was devoted to her loved ones.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home beginning at 11:30AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or LSU Dental School.
