Alphonse Joseph Abadie

Alphonse Joseph Abadie "Gator" , age 61 unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday September 22, 2015. Beloved husband of Linette Lagasse Abadie for 40 years. Devoted father to his daughters, Jessica Carlson (Jimmy) and Erin Young (Randall) and his treasured grandchildren Liam and Cara Young. He is survived by his mother, Viola Blanchard Abadie, proceeded in death by his father Charles W. Abadie.

He is also survived by 5 brothers. Chuck (Chris), Jackie (Debbie), Dennis (Angie), Donald (Christine), Mark (Andrea), and 8 sisters; Judy Carriere (Bruce), Janet Gonzales (Oscar), Michele, Patrice Cooper (Ike), Geralyn Mayer (Joe ), Betsy Sens (Burnell, deceased), Colette Heigle (Kris), and Charlene Vogelaar (Jim). He was also a cherished brother to his wife's family: Cindy, Rickey (Charla), Kevin (Connie), Clint (Angelia), David, and Raymond Lagasse. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of them very dear to him. He loved spending time with family at the beach, playing golf, and the race track where he created great memories with family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral home on Monday September 28 from 10am -12 pm with a funeral mass following at noon.
