He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and other honors. "Dick" Christovich, as he was known to his many friends, was a renowned trial attorney and was well-respected by his fellow practitioners. He was defined by his cheerful disposition, a deep sense of compassion for others, and a profound sense of humility. He and his beloved Betty loved to travel and enjoyed many wonderful adventures to foreign countries, but most enjoyed the time they spent in their vacation home in Jackson, Wyoming with their children and grandchildren. He and Betty dearly loved the many dogs whom they raised and cared for during their lives. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Louisiana SPCA (la-spca.org, 504.368.5191). The family would also like to express their gratitude to the many caregivers who helped care for him over the last few years, and especially to Noemi Hendricks for her more than thirty years of devoted service and companionship. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Holy Name of Jesus, 6367 St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans, on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 12:00 Noon.
