Amir Massoud Foroozesh

Amir Massoud Foroozesh passed away on Tuesday, June 7 at age of 91. He was the beloved son to Zeyn-alabedin and Forough-zaman; father to Mehrdad (Mina Geramian Foroozesh), Maryam (Farhad Kaviani), and Mahtab; grandfather to Paymon (Callan Johns Foroozesh) and Kimia (Eleanor Kantrow); husband to Dr. Mehran Emami Foroozesh for 33 years and Farideh Mireshghi Foroozesh for 27 years; brother to Sorur-azam, Mehr-assa, and Fereshteh; uncle to Soraya, Ahmad, Mahmood, Safura, Soheyla, Soussan, Touraj, Firouzeh, Kamran, and their children; and a devoted friend to many. He was a retired petrochemical engineer. Amir lived through a lot and took the good and the bad in stride. He left his mark on this world and made it better just by being him. Amir’s greatest gift was his ability to make everyone he met feel special and valued. He is loved deeply and will never be forgotten. He has now joined his beloved wife, parents, and sisters. May he rest in peace, and may God give the rest of us the chance to live our lives as he did.

A visitation for Amir will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. A committal service will occur Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:20 PM at Metairie Cemetery Assoc, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
