

Angela was born to Joseph A. Bertoniere and Margaret Bertoniere (Peggy), nee Wayes, in Charleston, NC during WWII. Her father was a New Orleans native and her mother, a native of Pennsylvania.
Angela attended school in Kenner, LA, New Orleans, LA, and Los Angeles, CA. She was a joyful person with an infectious laugh. Angela loved people and animals. She was a little Sister of the Poor for several years, and a wife and mother for many more. She enjoyed working with antiques, and selling real estate.
Angela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Laurence Macaluso and beloved son, Michael Macaluso. Her devoted parents also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Joanne Bertoniere Stovall and brother-in-law, James E. Stovall, as well as many family members and friends.
Special thanks to caretaker Cherie Bertoniere and her husband Robert Bertoniere. Also we give special thanks to friends, Marcos and Lindsey Soares, and Robert and Francinete Johnson and family. We also are grateful to her many friends and staff at the Windsor, all of whom made her life there a delight.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, with visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Grace Funeral Home & St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden, 450 Holy Trinity Dr., Covington, LA. Mass will follow.
Burial will be held privately at a later date.
Angela requested donations to the Special Olympics be made in lieu of flowers.
