Angelo was blessed to live the life he lived because he was able to put more into his 61 years than most. He was raised by the most fun and loving parents anyone could dream of. From them he learned the true meaning of fun and lived life to the fullest. He had the ability to make everyone laugh and could put a smile on any face.
He graduated from Brother Martin High School in 1973 then spent 2 years at USL (now ULL). During that time Waterskiing was his favorite hobby. He was so dedicated he became an avid skier and began competing. In a short time he filled a room with numerous trophies then became a ski instructor in Florida. Returning home he began a journey of becoming the Jack-of-all-trades and Master of some.
He earned enough certifications and licenses to cover a wall. His natural talent was revealed when he started renovating houses. He had the ability to turn a complete dump into a beautiful home with his bare hands. He later put his all into being a claims adjuster for several companies. His greatest asset was just being himself and never changing for anyone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his loving father, Angelo Selby Sr. Survivors include his Loving mother, Lillian P Selby, his sister, Sheryl Selby Culotta, his favorite nephew, Mark R Culotta and his best companion in the world... his dog Cosimo, the child he never had.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Thursday August 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
