Angie Schwab Coincon

Angie Schwab Coincon (83), of Lacombe, passed away on May 18, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born in New Orleans on June 24, 1930 to the late Albert and Frances Verges. Angie operated Little People’s Daycare for over 30 years in Lacombe and was affectionately known as “Mawmaw” to the children. She cared for generations and showered them in love as if they were her own family. She took great joy in the love that you can only find in the heart of a child. She was a loving mother to four and grandmother to many. She is preceded in death by her husband Merlin Schwab, Sr. and her sister Adele Mayeur. She is survived by her husband, Fred Coincon and children Merlin Schwab, Jr. (Diane), Rick Schwab (Nancy), Genel Schwab (Linda Graval), and Monique Coincon. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael Schwab (Beth), Mark Schwab, Robbie Hoolahan (Rachael), Renee’ Hoolahan, Jill Schwab Hays (Arleigh), Meg Robinson, and great grandchildren Gabriella Schwab, Reid Hoolahan, and Rustin Hoolahan. Also survived by 2 nieces Rae Ann Hurston and Cathy Engeron and one nephew David Mayeur She adored her family and enjoyed frequent visits and the laughter that comes from a loving family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
