Ann Champagne

Ann Link Champagne passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on July 30, 1935. She was a parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church and a director of the St. Benilde CYO for many years with her husband Lou, retiring in 2004. She and Lou loved their annual trips to Disney World with the CYO youths. She was also a member of Cheri Amis.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Champagne (Dorinda); grandchildren, Melissa C. Sbisa (Eddie), Paul Champagne, Jr. (Brittany), and Brooke Champagne (Danie); great grandchildren, Kaleigh Landauer, Amber Sbisa, Emily Sbisa, Paxtyn Champagne, Abbi Champagne, Allie Champagne, and Zowie Champagne; daughter-in-law, Brenda Champagne; and close family friends, Lynne Champagne, Scotty Mullen, and Hunter Rozas.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Louis J. Champagne, Jr.; sons, Louis J. Champagne III, Paul A. Champagne, Sr. (Gayle), and Jay M. Champagne; brothers, Bill and John Link, Sr. and grandson, James H. Powell, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. After the chapel service, Ann will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park.
