Arthur Fernand Hickham

Dr. Arthur Fernand Hickham, a retired dentist of Covington and New Orleans, LA passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015. Art was a graduate of Jesuit High School, LSU and Loyola School of Dentistry. He is survived by his wife, Isabel Louise Albright Hickham; his three sons, Rusty, Patrick and Michael; his four daughters, Clare Collier, Robin Jensen, Marie Wong and Holly Noble; he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas; his parents I.W. and Inez Remanjon Hickham; his three brothers, Wil, David and Jack. Upon graduation, Dr. Art served his country at Fort Polk then practiced dentistry for over 30 years where he was known for his excellence. He served as head of the Peer Review Board for the Louisiana Dental Association for several years. Art had a zest for life until the end, and his charming humor made everyone around him happy. He was an avid traveler, motorcycle enthusiast and LSU fan. He was loved and adored by his large family, many friends and loyal patients. Dr. Art’s joyful smile will not be forgotten. Visitation will be held from 9-11am on Saturday October 24, 2015 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, La, with at Funeral Mass to begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Louis #3 Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.
