Avery E. Kolb, III, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife, Diana Parham; four sons, Kenneth Kolb, Kevin Kolb, David Kolb, and Stephen Hinton; and grandchildren, Anthony Kolb and Daphne Kolb Jusko. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery E. Kolb, II and Lucile Hinton Kolb; granddaughter, Rachel Kolb; and sister, Elaine Kolb Walter.
Avery retired as a Coordinating Captain, after 35 years with the New Orleans Fire Department. He was in the Marine Corps Reserve for 16 years. His greatest joy was the art of fencing, Sabre division.
A celebration of Avery’s life will take place at a later date.
