Barbara Ann Borne Hudson

Barbara Ann Borne Hudson, age 75, passed away November 3, 2025. She was born in New Orleans on August 24, 1950, to Robert J. Borne, Sr. and Betty Durnin Borne. Barbara was a retired sales associate from Pep-Boy after 25 years of service. She had a passion for shopping. She found great pleasure in treating herself to pedicures and getting her hair done. Walking was also one of her cherished activities. However, nothing brought her more joy than the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Borne, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, of 59 years, Van D. Hudson; daughters, Celeste K. Hudson and Shannon Hudson (Lionel); sister, Elizabeth Borne Otero (Alberto); brother, Michael J. Borne (Cindy), grandchildren, Darren D. Guillot, Jerret J. Hudson, Deontae R. Hudson, and Meriah J. Gooden; godchildren, Joseph Otero and Jessi Otero; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and her beloved fur babies, Pooda Paul, Petunia, Mugs, Pop Tart, and TJ.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus 8th Floor for the loving care they provided for Barbara. Also, a special thanks to Kim Bell for all her years of friendship and support.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
