Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Claire Pabst Cook; her sister, Janie Cook Brehm; and her brother, Henry “Skippy” Cook, Jr.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Vincent Joseph Imbornone, Jr.; her daughter, Christine Imbornone Stouder (Kevin); her son, Victor Raymond Imbornone (Lori); her five grandchildren, Abigail Buchholz (Matthew), Devin Culley (Shelby), Shelby Adourian (Nicholi), Margaret Imbornone, and Victoria Imbornone; her nine great-grandchildren, Natalie, Melanie, Valarie, Paisley, Mason, Kinsley, Brooks, Bentley, and Korbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was born in New Orleans on September 26, 1942 and was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School. She was a parishioner at St. Rose De Lima Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother… she will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
