Betty Dugas Fontenot

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Fontenot.

She is survived by her daughters, Carlis F. Buras (Wayne) and Angela F. Soignier (Warren); sons, Dwight Fontenot (Carol), Dwaine Fontenot and Brian Fontenot (Marie); sisters, Mildred Thibodeaux (late Berchman), Laura Joubert (late Elvin) and Melba Stelly (late Herbert); grandchildren, Steven R. Buras, Sr. (Kortney), Amanda F. Willard (Gary), Sherry Fontenot, Misty S. Caswell (Justin), Crystal S. Cuevas, Weston Soignier, Kathryn Buras and Taylor Fontenot; and great-grandchildren, Jason and Carter Caswell, Gabrielle and Abrielle Cuevas and Peyton, Steven Ross, Jr. and Kane Buras. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fontenot was a member and Past President of CFMA New Orleans Chapter, a Commissioner in Charge/Jefferson Parish, and a Golden Age member for many years. She was a long time parishioner of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Bucktown, LA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
