Beverly Howat Medan, age 89, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Peter M. Medan. Loving mother of Jody A. Medan, Elizabeth Medan Calamari (Ray), and the late Peter M. Medan, Jr. Daughter of the late Oswald J. Howat and Carmela Anselmo Howat. Sister of MaryDean H. Bouvier (Milton), Anita H. Cervini, and the late Carol M. Howat. Mrs. Medan was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy of New Orleans and also a graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans. She served as a Registered Nurse in the OBGYN field in New Orleans throughout her career. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery No. 1.
