

Beverly Biehler Sadler, 85, formerly of Bastrop, La., died after complications from a fall in her home. She was born in Algiers, La. on May 6, 1931, to Beverly Sterns Biehler and Henry Reems Biehler, and lived in Algiers through her youth. Beverly attended St. John’s Academy in Wichita Kansas, graduating in 1947. She also attended Southwestern University in Lafayette, La. After marriage, Beverly and Ward moved to Bastrop where he worked for International Paper, and where they raised their children. She was active in many organizations including the Altar Guild at Christ Episcopal Church, the Clarklea Garden Club, The Literary Forum, The Red Hat Society, and many bridge clubs. Beverly was a devoted wife and mother, and was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Ward Sadler III and youngest son Jeffrey Lloyd Sadler. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ann Sadler; son, Gary Ward Sadler, his wife Rosa Ann and their children Matthew (wife Laura) and Lauren(fiancé Adam). She is also survived by two great grand-daughters, Charlotte and Courtney Sadler. Services will be held at St. Martin Episcopal Church, 2216 Metairie Road on Saturday, June 18 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to St. Martin Episcopal Church or the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana.
