

With deepest sorrow, we make known the passing of our most beautiful, caring, and loving mother, Beverly Schulz Volpi, on December 14th, 2025, at age 92. She was born on April 22, 1933, in New Orleans and was raised in the Irish Channel. She was a resident of New Orleans for 76 years. She later moved to Marrero to live with her daughter, where she has resided for the last 16 years.
Beverly found joy in working on jigsaw puzzles, sudoku puzzles, and creating beautiful crochet projects. She also loved playing Scrabble.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, of 40 years, Raymond H. Volpi, Sr; children, Raymond H. Volpi, Jr, Paul Volpi, and Mary Louise Volpi; parents, Helen and Paul Schulz; sister, Velma S. Arnold.
Beverly is survived by her children, Alana Gabriel (Joe), Peter Volpi (Carol), Wayne Volpi (Stacey), Edward Volpi, Michael Volpi (Donna), and Susan Volpi (Katie); daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Volpi; sister, Joy S. Rieth; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family of Beverly would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to St. Joseph Hospice for their care and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, at 11am. Interment will follow the service in Lake Lawn Park.
