Bonnie Layerle Corwin, a Speech Pathologist, passed away at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston on May 8, 2014 at the age of 62 years. Beloved mother of Barry Matthew Corwin and Rebecca Layerle Corwin. Daughter of the late Mary Catherine Nobile Layerle and Jean Eloi Layerle. Sister of Mary Jean Layerle Parker (husband Kenneth). Survived by nieces Heather Parker Heller and Hillary Elizabeth Parker; great-nieces Olivia, Sophia and Julia Heller. Granddaughter of the late August J. Nobile and Patricia T. Nobile; Jean Marie Layerle and Eliza D. Layerle.
Bonnie was a graduate of Riverdale High School and Louisiana State University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Speech Pathology. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Houston, Texas.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. 70124 on Wednesday May 14 2014 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment at Metairie Cemetery.
