

She was a cherished member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Liberty, MS. Brenda loved to share the good news of God’s Kingdom with everyone. She supported the Special Metropolitan Witnessing in New Orleans as often as she could. She was very hospitable, loyal, and humble. She was a great cook and was happy to see others enjoy being together. She was a great mom and “mawmaw”, setting an excellent example of hard work, loyal-love and generosity. She was an accomplished artist. Brenda was a local business owner for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, of 37 years, Roy H. Toepfer (“Tee”); son, Jamie Lamar Studdard; stepdaughter, Peggy Egan; sister, Tina Marie Andrews; brothers, Danny Andrews, Freddie Andrews, and Sonny Andrews.
Survivors include her daughter, Charma Shirah (Chris); sons, Sandy Studdard, Drew Studdard (Karen), and Paul Studdard (Vanessa); sisters, Wendy Mullen and Donna Firmin; grandchildren, Nicholas Studdard (Katie), Ashley Studdard, Sydney Studdard, Brenda Studdard, Emily Studdard, and Zachary Studdard; two stepsons; three stepdaughters; and many beloved step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Peter Park, MD, DMD and his team at the LSU School of Dentistry who fought alongside Brenda in her long battle against cancer. Touro Hospital, St. Tammany Home Health, and St. Tammany Hospice for their compassionate care of Brenda and her family.
A visitation for Brenda will be held Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM. There is a live stream for the funeral that can be accessed on Brenda’s obituary on Lake Lawn’s website.
