

Brett Parson Pendleton, 53, of Ocean Springs, MS, went to his heavenly home surrounded by family on December 4, 2020. Brett was born in Jackson, MS on July 28, 1967 to Sherry Pendleton and the late Robert H. Pendleton. Brett was a lifelong member of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. In 1985, Brett graduated from Murrah High School in Jackson, MS. After graduation, Brett studied at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Fort Lauderdale, FL. While Brett enjoyed spear fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving, he also became a pilot and enjoyed flying to the islands while living in Fort Lauderdale. After graduation and leaving Fort Lauderdale, he entered his family business of Pendleton Detectives & Security. In 1997, he relocated to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where he opened his investigative business, frequently boated to the islands with his daughter and enjoyed deep sea fishing with friends. His love of the Gulf waters and spending time with his daughter brought him much joy. He also treasured family gatherings, attending and watching Saints football games, and reunions with high school friends, often gifting them with his homemade gumbo made with seafood he harvested. He is a ninth generation descendant from passengers of the Mayflower.
He is survived by his adoring daughter Anna Parson Pendleton; by his beloved partner, Melanie Lane; by his mother, Sherry Pendleton, by his brother Robert ‘Robbie’ (Kim) Pendleton; by his nephew, Daniel Pendleton; by his niece, Taylor Pendleton; all along with many other family members and friends.
Due to COVID restrictions, a memorial service In Jackson, MS will be postponed until said restrictions are lifted.
