Carl Richard Hammer passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the age of 76. He was born in New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. Carl had a 20 year career on the St. Bernard Fire Department where he retired as a captain on the rescue squad. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Jones Hammer and Anthony Hammer, Sr. and his siblings, Gloria H. Matrana, Roy Hammer and Anthony Hammer, Jr. He is survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service held at All Saints Mausoleum, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 12pm.
