Carmelo A. LaRocca passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the age of 73. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Donna T. LaRocca; parents Vincenzo (Santo) LaRocca and Calogera Ricotta LaRocca.
Carmelo is survived by his daughter, Carolyn L. Durham (Mike); sons, Vincent LaRocca and David LaRocca (Jennifer); brother, Joseph LaRocca; sister, Anna Baker (the late Thomas); and grandchildren, Caitlyn, Carmelo, Landon, Victoria, Reid, Olivia, Kylie, and Landry.
He graduated from St. Mary's Italian School grammar school, Cor Jesu High School now known as Brother Martin class of 66' and received his bachelors from LSUNO. Carmelo was an active parishioner of Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Kenner. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be fondly remembered for his love of socializing.
Relatives and friends are invited to join us for a Funeral Mass officiated by Fr. Robert Cooper at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Thursday , September 9, 2021 at 2 PM. Visitation will begin at 1 PM. A burial will follow Mass in All Saints Mausoleum.
