Carol Torstenson Ehrhardt

Carol Torstenson Ehrhardt passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the age of 86. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Anun Torstenson, her husband, Walton Ehrhardt, and their daughter, Paige Ellen. She is survived by her four children, Allison (David), Jonathan (Chardel), Jason (Anne), and Jeremy (Shannon). She is also survived by her sister, Marcia Torstenson Scalise (Bertrand) of Monroe, OR, and two nieces. She was known as Grammy to her cherished grandchildren Elizabeth (Christopher), Madeline, Reed (Kinsey), Kirk (Amanda), Jack, Henry, Elizabeth, Kathryn, and Lexi, and her great grandchildren Jacob, Andrew, and Ava Raye.

Born in New Orleans, she was a 1956 graduate of Warren Easton High School. She was employed by O'Keefe, O'Keefe and Berrigan Law Firm and went on to work at the Tulane University Medical School for over 20 years. Her 16 years as a volunteer with the Lakeview Hospital Auxiliary demonstrated her desire to help others.

In her personal life, she loved spending time with her family, as shown through countless hosted holidays. She will be remembered for her love of the color purple, for travel, both domestically and internationally, and for her love of Mardi Gras.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tom Hartley officiating. Burial will be private.
