

Carole Bergeron Ball passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the age of 84. She was a native of New Orleans and longtime resident of Jefferson. Carole graduated from Incarnate Word and the Academy of Holy Angels High School. She started working as a bookkeeper and then continued as a medical assistant at Ochsner Clinic after graduation until she retired. Carole was a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church for over 55 years. She loved to embroider blankets for all the grandkids, loved to dance, enjoyed going to the casino and spending time cooking for her family. Carole is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Richard Leo Ball; her parents, Mabel Ruth and Peter Edward Bergeron, Sr.; her sisters, Shirley Cantrell and Myrtle Boihem; and her brother, Peter Edward Bergeron, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Duplantier and Jennifer Claveria Rourke; her grandchildren, Justin Duplantier, Joey Trawick (Heather) and Jena Montz; great-grandchildren, Samara Duplantier, Caroline and Luke Smith; her cherished godchildren; and nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Heart of Hospice, dear friend and neighbor, Connie Adams, her best friend, Connie Rivette, her lifelong friend, Doris Steppe and all the ladies who she went to grammar and high school with; who she loved meeting for lunch every month when she could make it. You all brighten up her life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Friday, October 18, 2024. Visitation will be from 11:00am until Mass begins at 1:00pm. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
