Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Carrol Labit Pollard, and her son, Donovan Frentz. She leaves behind her longtime partner of 35 years, Robert Sarradet; beloved children, Canna Leah Frentz, Susan Varuso (Richard), Karen McInnis, and Christy Hayes (Keith); six grandchildren, Mason Varuso, Murdock McInnis, Andrew Varuso, Sydney Hayes, Harrison Hayes, and Peyton Hayes; a sister, Lydia Pollard; a brother, Robert Pollard; a niece, Sara Sohr – Preston (Darren); a nephew, Peter David Sohr (Amanda); and four great nieces and nephews, Lucy Sohr, Peter Sohr, II, Erin Preston, and Emory Preston.
Carolyn was born and raised in New Orleans, and attended Riverdale High School. She graduated from Soule College with a degree in Administrative Accounting, as well as completing the Real Estate Salesmen’s course for the State of Louisiana. She enjoyed listening to New Orleans music, attending Jazz Fest, dressing up for Mardi Gras, and was an avid fan of the Saints. She was very active in local organizations, especially “The Pinnacles” and “We Care for Special People”. Carolyn attended the monthly Mass at St. Francis Xavier for “God’s Special Children”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
