Kitty was the daughter of Joyce G. Barkerding and the late Theodore F., Barkerding, Sr.; beloved wife for 29 years of the late Richard F. Brewster, Sr.; loving mother of Allison B. Wines (Sean), Richard F. Brewster, Jr. (Marica), and Jeb S. Brewster (Holly Milazzo); sister of Theodore F. Barkerding, Jr. (Mary), Joyce “Bootsie” B. Smith (Reginald), and Harry G. Barkerding (Mary Ann); and grandmother of Baxter Brewster, Isla Brewster, Otto Brewster, Elliette Brewster, Rush Brewster, and Astra Brewster. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her dear lifelong friend, Sherrill D. Allen.
Kitty was born in New Orleans on April 20, 1948, and graduated from Louise S. McGehee School and attended Memphis State University. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge, and getting together with friends.
A private burial was held in Metairie Cemetery.
