She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 11, 1931. She was a volunteer with Tulane Lakeside Hospital for 42 years. Catherine was a devoted Catholic and Eucharistic Minister.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lindon Foss Martinez; sons, Richard Martinez (Nancy) and Marc Martinez; and parents, Charles Nathan and Rose Arnaud Miceli.
She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Special thanks goes out to Egan at Home and in particular to her caregiver, Jessie Jasmine, who was by her side at the time of her death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10 AM. Catherine will be laid to rest beside her husband in All Saints Mausoleum immediately following the Mass.
