Clare is survived by her husband, David, and her two daughters, Julie and Rebecca. She also leaves behind her brother, Michael (Margaret), and her sister, Catherine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ellenore Hoffman.
Clare was a lifelong educator who spent years teaching and was the Director of Nursery at Our Lady of Divine Providence. She had the extraordinary ability to ignite the love of learning in young minds, making their early educational journey in her Pre-K3 classroom an exciting and unforgettable journey.
Above all she was a woman of faith. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age and this decision shaped her life. Her faith was the foundation of everything she did from her teaching to her relationships. She was a living testament to the power of God’s love.
Clare was also a lifelong parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena and for many years sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Jefferson Golden Ages after her retirement.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd. in Metairie, on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will be private.
Clare’s legacy lives on through the hearts of her family and students.
