Clifford "Cliff" Dave Wood

Clifford "Cliff" Dave Wood passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Kimberly Dolce Wood, with whom he shared more than 50 years of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment.

Cliff was a proud father to Matthew Wood (Desiree), Lori Papamichael (Chris), Katie Wood, and Kelly Gallodoro (Joseph), and a beloved brother to his sister, Lynn Bomar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Clara Wood, and his sisters, Sylvia and Cindy.

Nothing brought Cliff more joy than time spent with his grandchildren—Jameson, Felix, Clover, Remington, Augustine, Nightingale, and Marigold—each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Cliff dedicated his professional life to public service, serving as a law enforcement officer with the New Orleans Police Department before continuing his career with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he proudly finished his service. His sense of duty, integrity, and care for others defined both his work and his life.

Above all else, Cliff loved taking care of his wife. In quieter moments, he found simple joy in feeding and watching hummingbirds from the living room window—a small ritual that reflected his gentle nature and appreciation for life’s simple beauties.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM.
