Dean Lester Merceron

Dean Lester Merceron, the youngest son of Dale and Mary Drury Merceron, passed away at the age of 49 on Monday, November 10, 2014 after a long struggle with illness. Dean was the brother of Van Steven and Brian Michael Merceron, the uncle of Jordan Taylor Merceron, and Godchild of Catherine Paternostro and Dann Drury. Dean leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and business associates. He graduated from St. Catherine of Siena Grammar School, and De La Salle High School. Dean graduated summa cum laude with a Master's degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City. His career in fashion design began in New York City where he taught at Parsons School of Design, and the High School of Fashion Industries of New York where he inspired many lives. Dean used his education to become an author. His book "Lanvin" was his greatest achievement. Dean's passion was caring for others and helping them to achieve their goals. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until service time. Inurnment will take place following the service at Lake Lawn Park.
