Diann Bellott Horne

Diann Bellott Horne, known to most as Ging Ging passed away on July 19, 2023, at the age of 78. She was born in New Orleans, LA and lived most of her life in Kenner until relocating to St. Charles Parish. She was the beloved wife of the late Josie J. Horne, Sr. for 27 years. Daughter of the late Oscar Fredreck Bellott and Rachel Bearmann Bellott. Sister of Albert I. Bellott, Sr. (wife Carolyn). Mother of Shaun Harris (husband Curtis), Hugh Dennis Murray, II (wife Leanna) and her dog, Honey. Stepmother of Josie “Joey” Horne, Jr. (wife Julie), Joann Weinberg (husband John) and Trudy Bettinger (husband John). Grandmother of Kyle Harris (fiancée Madison Holman), Savannah Harris (boyfriend Casey Ford aka Pizza Man), Lanie Murray and PFC Hugh Dennis Murray, III. Step grandmother of Jimmy Horne (wife Kim), Jessica (fiancée Darren), Erin Singer (husband Rusty) and Mark Weinberg. Survived by 7 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was a hairdresser for over 50 years. Diann enjoyed life, was very feisty and had no filter. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and visiting with everyone. She never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off her back.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service. Interment will be private.
