Donald "Duck" Ray Gullage

Mr. Gullage was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Pierre and Rita Mae Jackson, and his son, Donald Gullage, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharron Gullage – Harrison (Keith); two grandchildren, Jazmine and Kafira Harrison; five sisters, Tondadelia Batiste (Leon), Dianne Keleta (Menghistab), Joann Aultman (Stanley), Kathrine Gilbert, and Glencis Pierre; and three brothers, Jimmie Pierre (Nina), Tommy Pierre, and Preston Pierre, Jr. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donald was born and raised in New Orleans, and graduated from Warren Easton High School. He served in the United States Army from 1972 thru 1975, where he was stationed in Germany. He also received the National Defense Medal. He worked at the V.A. Hospital in New Orleans for many years.

Donald enjoyed music, dancing, and playing basketball. He loved people, and will be missed dearly by his family and friends, especially for his kind and caring nature.

A graveside service will be held at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 10:00AM.
