Doris Haas Ezell

On October 26, 2024 Doris Haas Ezell was welcomed into Heaven by God and His Angels. She was 98 years old, and a native of New Orleans. Her parents were Sophie Tripkovich and John Haas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved sisters Florence and Rita, her daughter Patricia, and first great-grandchild, Faith. She is survived by her other daughters, Jacquelyn Gyorgy, Kathleen Gregory, and Susan Akey, their husbands Dan Gregory and Rollin Akey, and five grandchildren and their spouses,Julie Petrucelli & Jon, Matthew Gregory & Sarah, Curtis Akey & Jackie, Miklos Gyorgy & Lauren, and Sara Akey. She also has three great-grandchildren, Ellison Petrucelli, Joseph Petrucelli, and Aiden Gyorgy. The joy in her life were her sisters, her children, her grands and great-grands. God was good to share our Mother with us for 98 years and 8 months. She was at Ponchatoula Community Care Center for her last 3 years, and assisted by Notre Dame Hospice her last three weeks of life. Our thanks to all who visited her, prayed for her, called her, sent a card or flowers or thought of her. Your kindness is appreciated. Her funeral service was held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on November 2, 2024. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or Notre Dame Hospice would be welcome. We know she is flying with the angels now!
