

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Theodore (Ted) Offner Sr., Her father Henry G. Schlindwein, her mother Pearl Hasler S. Murphy, her stepfather Cornelius A. Murphy, her brother Henry G Schlindwein, her granddaughter Karen (Karie) Ehle Catalanotto and great grandson Jake S. Offner.
She will be sadly missed by her children Linda O. Gilmore (Andy Taylor), Karen O. Ehle Bordelon (Byron B. Bordelon III) and Theodore Offner Jr. (Diana Brown).
Mrs. Offner was adored and lovingly known as Nanny by her grandchildren Kimberly E. Ehle, David E. Gilmore (Darlene), Davidson S. Ehle III (Geri), Judson T. Offner (Stacey), Sanders S. Offner (Kristin) and Blair O. Ramelli (Phillip). Her step grandchildren Byron B. Bordelon IV (Jill) and Brent J. Bordelon. Her great grandchildren Jason M. Catalanotto (Ashley), Dustin D. Gilmore (Kady), Samantha E. Gilmore, Kathryn M. Ehle, Cameron S. Offner, Karen E. Ehle, Mason B. Offner, Emma C. Offner, Ali E. Offner, Molly S. Offner, Michael R. Ramelli and Beau B. Ramelli. Her step great grandchildren Emily C. Bordelon, Eric C. Bordelon and Alex P. Bordelon. Her great-great grandchildren Sophie C. Gilmore, Swayze K. Gilmore, Karie E. Catalanotto, and Eliza J. Catalanotto. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Mrs. Offner was a manager/buyer for Godchaux Boys Department. She was a member of The Touchdown Club of New Orleans. She enjoyed the love and laughter of her family whether it was by the pool, beach or her lake house.
Mrs. Offner’s family wishes to thank her devoted caretakers Martha Jackson, Bridget Thompson and Elaine Pleasant.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Monday, November 14 at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 12 noon on Monday.
