Dotty Palmintier

Doris M. "Dotty" Palmintier, age 73, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband, Don Palmintier; her daughter, Nikki Palmintier; her siblings, Dr. Bert Wattigney, Jr. (Patti), Doak Wattigney (Sandra), Edmond Wattigney and Wendy Wattigney; her niece, Maggie Doussan (Mike) and nephews, Beau and Brett Wattigney. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bertrand M. Wattigney, Sr. and Doris Savin Wattigney and her infant sister, Theresa Wattigney. Dotty was a graduate of The Academy of Holy Angels. She worked as an executive secretary for Pan-American Life Insurance Company for 18 years and the office manager for Bryan Bell and Associates for 28 years. She was the recording secretary for the Terrytown Civic Association and the treasurer for Jefferson the Beautiful Organization. Dotty was an excellent athlete, skilled in golf, tennis and swimming. She was very charitable, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and during the holidays, she provided gifts for a family in need. Above all else, Dotty cherished spending time with family and close friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the management and staff at St. Luke's Medical Center and St. Margaret's Hospice for their loving care during Dotty's last years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
