Earline LeBlanc Helffrich

Earline LeBlanc Helffrich, a former homemaker and retired secretary passed away on March 27, 2025, at West Jefferson General Hospital. Earline was born in New Orleans, La. on August 9, 1937, to the late Earl Leonce LeBlanc and Mary Messina LeBlanc. Beloved wife of the late John A. Helffrich. Loving mother of Cheryl H. Fridge (Buddy), Kim H. Gifford, Donna H. Wall (John), John D. Helffrich (Shannon) and Gary F. Helffrich (Michelle). Sister of Mary L. Gibson and the late Earl J. LeBlanc, Sr. and Gerard M. LeBlanc. Adoring grandmother of Zach Fridge, Candice Thompson, Courtney Gifford, Danielle Beamon, Taylor Gifford and Evan Helffrich. Great-grandmother of Tasio, Finn, Sosie and Ada Thompson; Drew and Evie Fridge and Cora Johnson.

Earline enjoyed coloring, reading and conquering word search puzzles. She was an avid crocheter and loved giving many people pieces of her work.

The family would like to give special thanks to Wynhoven Community Care Center for their kindness and care and to all the friends she met there.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, La. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or charity of your choice.
