Edward M. Johnson passed away on June 6, 2016 at the age of 92. He was the loving husband of the late Shirley S. Johnson. Father of Diana J. Soileau and Patricia J. LaBorde, grandfather of Tammy S. Pati, Carrie S. Hirstius and Adrienne LaBorde and great grandfather of five. He is also survived by two brothers, Warren H. Johnson and Emmett J. Johnson. He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and family members. Edward Johnson had an unwavering love for horses, and spent his entire life devoted to the training and care of thoroughbreds. His wishes were that in lieu of flowers, gifts be sent to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine to assist with the Equine Health Studies Program. Checks can be made payable to the LSU Foundation and mailed to the LSU Vet School, Development Office, Skip Bertman Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70803. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124, on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 12 Noon.
