Edward R. Lauterbach, Jr. passed away at Canon Hospice after a brief illness on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at age 89. Devoted husband of the late Anna Mae Goodwin Lauterbach. Loving father of Donna Ritter (Tony) and Ann Riley (Tim). “Po” to his grandchildren Jeffery Wolverton, Ashley W. Bayless (Neal), Sean and Evan Riley and “Great Po” to Brette Bayless. Special friend of Susan DeMara.
Son of the late Edward Lauterbach, Sr. and the late Hazel Stadler. Brother of the late Raymond Lauterbach and the late Larry Lauterbach. Also survived by 3 nieces.
Eddie proudly served in the navy in WWII on the U.S.S. Tennessee and was retired from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He loved fishing, carpentry and his family.
All who knew him loved him, and he will be greatly missed by many.
A memorial service will be held at Unity Temple 3722 St. Charles Ave. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity or Unity Temple.
