

Elizabeth Williams Kohlmann, beloved wife of William Leon Kohlmann, died at home on Saturday, May 23, 2015, with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving daughter Grace Elisabeth Friedman, her mother Gladys King Fisher and step-father Michael Kilpatrick Fisher, brothers Wilfred Hamilton Williams III, MD (Marion) and Edward George King III (Nancy), sister-in-law Jane Kohlmann Rippner (William), brother-in-law James Kahn Kohlmann, step-sisters Ann and Carolyn Fisher, step-daughters Charlotte and Leighton Kohlmann, nieces Emily and Paige Williams, Catherine Gassiot and nephew Bradley Charles King. She was born in New Orleans but lived for many years in Denver. She returned to live in New Orleans in 2012. Liz was an honor graduate of Isidore Newman School, a cum laude graduate of Newcomb College where she majored in Art History. She received an MBA from Tulane University School of Business. She was a very successful recruiter for accountants in Denver for many years. During her debut year, Liz was presented by the Stratford Club, was a maid in the courts of Caliphs of Cairo and High Priests of Mithras and reigned as Queen of Dorians Ball. She was a member of the Orleans Club and the Junior League of New Orleans, and she volunteered her time with numerous charitable organizations both in Denver and New Orleans. Liz was a beautiful person who loved to travel, loved animals and loved and was loved by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Louisiana SPCA, 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd., New Orleans, LA, 70114, or to the American Cancer Society New Orleans Chapter, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA, 70121.
