

Ethel Arruebarrena Boudreaux passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the age of 95. Devoted wife of the late Dominick (Dee) Paul Boudreaux. Born to Ethel Moore Arruebarrena and Marcel Arruebarrena on July 24, 1921. Sister to John Arruebarrena and the late Marcel, Raymond, Dolores Russo, Yvonne Stortz and Lucille Mancuso. She is survived by her loving children, Sandra Ariatti (John), Jeannie Duplantis, Donald (Ann), Stephen and Arthur (Althea). Grandmother of ten and great grandmother of ten and one deceased great-grandson. Ethel and Dee raised five children in Arabi and she lived there until Hurricane Katrina placed her in Hendersonville, North Carolina with Sandra and John. Her meticulous knitting skills were her pride and anyone on the receiving end was privileged. With the help of Sandra, Ethel shared her favorite recipes in a cookbook. Her children, grandchildren and others now can cook her delicious dishes. She also enjoyed playing Connesta and Scrabble. Ethel and Dee were also members of the Avalons, a club the members founded when they were young newlyweds. Traveling and gathering for dances were their main focus.
