Ethel Oliver Hearty

Ethel Oliver Hearty died on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the age of 88, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a native of El Dorado, Arkansas and resident of Metairie and Kenner. Beloved wife of the late Emmet M. Hearty Jr. for 44 years. Daughter of the late Everett V. Oliver and Johnie Lou Weover Oliver. Sister of the late James U. Oliver.

Ethel loved to travel with friends and was an avid cruiser. She was a special Nanan to Lauren Cooper whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by her loving friends of whom were family, Margo, Charlene, Kathy, Linda and her special friends at Nouveau Marc. Special cousin of Linda, Jennifer, Julie, and Janet.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1.
