Eugene Jefferson Sutherland, Jr. was born on July 28, 1948 and died on February 18, 2018. Loving husband of Bridget Bresette Sutherland and very proud father of Stefanie Sutherland Serpas (the late David Serpas).
He was the doting grandfather of Zachary David Serpas and Sophie Bridget Serpas.
Eugene is also survived by his sister Susan Sutherland Wininger (Charles Wininger) and their children Amy Wininger Gondolfi (Gino) and Genette Wininger Raborn (Kevin).
He was dearly loved by his nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was very full of life, always had a smile on his face and a good story to tell! He was taken from us way too soon and will be greatly missed by so many friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Jefferson Sutherland, Sr., and his mother, Edmae Graham Sutherland.
Visitation will begin at 11am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1pm. Interment will be private.
