Eunice C. Wellman

Eunice Compagno Wellman passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2018 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Herbert Charles Wellman, Sr. She is survived by her children, Herbert Charles Wellman, Jr. (Marion), Cathy A. Wellman (Michelle), Matthew A. Wellman, and Anna M. Wellman (Anne); six grandchildren , Herbert Wellman, III (Tina), Gregory Wellman (Tonya), Jeffrey Wellman (Sara), Elizabeth (Christian), Sarah Wellman and Margaret Wellman; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wellman and her late husband were longtime business owners of Wellman’s Grocery on Oak Street and Uptown Shell Service Station on Magazine Street. Her greatest joy in life was her family who loved her with all of their hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Catholic Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
